    Hi everyone,

I've booked a room at the Beaverbrook with two queen beds from Wednesday night to Sunday night, inclusive, and am looking for a roommate to share costs for the nights they stay with me.

You can email me directly at if you're interested.

    See you there!

Thanks for letting us know that Marie. I'll see if I can get us an online form for reservations. We were very excited about the rate as well. The rooms are beautiful!

The UNB option is 2 kilometres away and the St. Thomas option is 2.5 kilometres. These are university residences so I'm sure on the bus route and taxi fares shouldn't be too outrageous. I'm checking into the bus route and taxi fares and will post when I have the info.

How far from the conference site are the alternative accommodations? Walking distance, easy access via transit, or need a car? Thanks.

    Alternative accommodation to hotel

Some people have asked about staying in summer campus residence as a less expensive option to staying at the hotel during the conference. Fredericton has two universities with this option. Here are the details for both:

    UNB Summer Residence

The nearest to our conference site is at 20 Bailey Dr, about 2 kilometres away.

    Rate info from the UNB:

For accommodations we do have 2 and 3 bedroom suite style residence available during your preferred dates. The suite style rooms are similar to an apartment, with a small kitchen, living room, individual locked bedrooms and a shared washroom. The cost is:

2 bedroom suite: $85/night plus tax

3 bedroom suite 115/night plus tax

We also have traditional style residence rooms - these are rooms with either 1 or 2 twin beds, with  a shared washroom down the hall. The cost is:

Single room: $41.10/night plus tax( included breakfast)

Double room: $64.20/night plus tax( includes breakfast)

That's great Kim. I'll include that people should check out/post on this forum if they are interested in sharing rooms in my next update! See you in May.

Hi Nancy. Excited to have you join us in Fredericton in May! The hotel says it will honour the rate three days before and three days following. Let me know if you have any problems when you book.
