Speakers' Bureau
Many PWAC members are also workshop leaders, radio personalities, TV hosts, or speakers in their own right. In addition to presentations on writing and PWAC, they can speak on dozens of other topics.
The speakers are grouped by province. Each speaker lists their areas of expertise and information on how they can be reached. Please contact the speaker directly for further information and for bookings.
Speaker of the Month - March 2010
Each month, PWAC showcases one of the speakers you can book from the PWAC Speakers' Bureau.

Topics:
- Attracting
Media Attention. You can be on the 6:00 o'clock news, too! This
presentation includes strategic questions to consider, what's involved
with developing a relationship with the media, and tips on attracting
media attention for you, your business, or your cause.
- How
to Write a News Release. This step-by-step presentation takes
participants from formatting, content and dissemination, to what to do
when the media calls. If desired, a workshop setting allows
participants an opportunity to work on their own news releases.
- Writing
for the Web. People read information on the web differently and your
writing should reflect this. Learn about the fundamental needs of web
readers so you can make your website, or someone else's, more effective.
- Marketing
Ideas for SMEs. Whether you are in the business of writing or not, if
you are a small- or medium-sized enterprise then you will benefit from
this presentation. You'll leave with affordable marketing ideas, from
the usual to the unique, to help your business succeed. Participants
are encouraged to share what works for them, too.
- Literacy
and the Environment. This presentation takes a look at how literacy and
being eco-friendly are interconnected, not unlike how organisms and the
environment are interconnected in the web of life. This presentation
can be customized for students K to 12.
Length of presentation: 30 to 90 minutes, varies based on topic and client's needs.
Audio/visual material: Powerpoint.
Fee: Varies, depends on type of presentation and related expenses.
